Travel Orlando

Do you want your kids to have the grandest time of their lives this coming Christmas? The best way you can do that is by traveling to Orlando. Your kids will never get bored with all the fantastic attractions in Orlando. See and experience Sea World, Universal Orlando, Disney World and all the theme parks scattered all over the place.

Orlando has the best attractions that are just right for the holidays. Just the thought of going to each of these attractions would be enough to excite your kids. Here are the places you and your kids should see and experience when you travel to Orlando this Christmas.

1. Sea World Orlando Christmas Celebration

The annual SeaWorld Christmas Celebration is a must-see for families who visit Orlando during the holidays. There are at least 3 shows that your family can enjoy at Sea World. These include Elm’s Christmas Wish, the Polar Express Experience and the jumping killer whales of the Shamu Christmas Miracles.

Although SeaWorld Orlando is really a marine park, it modifies its mood during the Christmas holidays to accommodate the wishes of the public. From November up to January, the resort turns to a wintry but still wet wonderland.

Apart from the three shows mentioned above, you will also get to see “O Wondrous Night”, a pageant about the nativity. You will be entertained by live animals and cute and adorable puppets.

At the entrance of the park, you will be greeted by the “Sea of Trees” where there are more than 100 decorated and lighted Christmas trees. You will be treated with a fantastic light show accompanied by Christmas music synchronized with the twinkling of the lights.

2. Universal Orlando

A unique but wonderful experience awaits you at Universal Orlando. This resort is quite different from Disney World. Instead of Mickey, you will be faced with the Grinch who is the main character that rules the Islands of Adventure at Universal.

Instead of Christmas, this resort calls its holiday celebrations Grinchmas. The title of the show is actually “Grinchmas  Who-liday Spectacular.” This is a stage show that retells the story of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” It stars the Grinch, with the Mannheim Steamroller providing the music on the background.

You will also see the huge balloons from Macy’s. They are usually transported to Universal Orlando after Thanksgiving to add color and excitement to the resort during the holiday season. The park-to-park admission that you will buy will entitle you to all the entertainment in Universal Orlando.

If you and your kids are fans of Harry Potter, you need to see the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. This presentation will treat you with a unique magical Christmas experience.

3. LEGOLAND Florida’s Christmas Bricktacular

Do you want to encourage your kids to become builders of the future? Bring them to LEGOLAND Florida. This park hosts its annual Christmas Bricktacular during weekends in December. Your kids will be delighted with the festive decorations that cover all the building bricks. They will also be entertained by Christmas carols while they are building their bricks.

The theme park features a LEGO Christmas tree that is more than 30 feet tall. It is made of about 270,000 pieces of LEGO and DUPLO bricks. A life-size LEGO Santa Claus will also greet you when you enter the theme park. You will also want to experience the LEGO Brick Drop and fireworks on New Year’s Eve.

4. ICE! at Gaylord Palms Resort

If you still want to see ice and snow while you are in Florida, then go and see ICE! at Gaylord Palms Resort. Be prepared to get chilled with cold temperature at 7 degrees when you enter this theme park.

You will be amazed at the more than a million pounds of ice sculptures which are curved by 40 skilled artists. They have sculpted some of the most popular characters of children’s stories like the Mouse King, the Sugar Plum Fairy, and the characters in the Nutcracker. You will see them come to life in ICE!

This theme park also features the Alpine Rush snow tubing, an ice-carving station and four ice slides.

Walt Disney World is one of Orlando’s happiest places to spend your holiday celebrations.

  • You have to be there at the Magic Kingdom to experience Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Your kids will also enjoy the grand tour of the Holidays Around the World.
  • The holiday celebration at Disney World is incomparable. You will be delighted to see the towering Christmas trees, decked all over with the most amazing flickering lights and decorations.
  • Apart from Mickey and his gang, there’s a new addition to the resort – the whole cast of Frozen. You will see Anna, Elsa, Olaf and Kristoff. They will entertain you on the set of “A Frozen Holiday Wish.” Frozen is the latest addition to Disney World’s Magic Kingdom.
  • You will also be amazed at the attractions at Epcot. This is where you can see the highlights of the holiday celebration around the world. You won’t get lost as to which country is being shown because there will be storytellers that will explain the holiday traditions of these countries.
  • You will want to stay until the last portion of the show because it will be concluded with a dazzling display of candles. The culmination of the show is called the Candlelight Processional. This part of the show retells the Christmas story. A celebrity narrator will weave the story while a large choir and a 50-piece orchestra will provide the background music.
  • Another great attraction in Disney World that you need to see and experience is Disney’s Hollywood Studios. You will want to sing along with the cast of Frozen when they present a new show called “For the First Time in Forever – a FROZEN Sing-Along Celebration.”
  • You should also see and experience the Dancing Lights of the Osborne Family Spectacle. This entertainment presentation showcases probably millions of flickering lights. Each of these lights is synchronized to Christmas songs while “snow” continuously falls on the ground.

So, what are you waiting for? If you want to see and experience the holiday attractions of Orlando, make your preparations now. Remember, thousands of people like you may also want to go there. Prepare now and beat the rush.
